The Breath of Yoga

Join Joanna for this workshop focused on the breath of yoga. A workshop dedicated to help deepen your connection to the breath used in the ashtanga vinyasa system. Ujjayi. You’ll learn to identify how the breath is associated with two patterns of energy moving in specific directions inside the body. These two patterns are called Prana Vayu (inhalation), and Apana Vayu (exhalation). The class will focus on how studying the actions of the diaphragm in combination with the two Vayu patterns of breathing can help you to access the power of ashtanga’s central breathing technique and how this dynamic action works to build heat, cleansing your body from the inside out.
